Scorpions se despiden con una gira mundial y Sting in The Tail

La verdad es que es una pésima noticia. Scorpions, a través de una nota de prensa en su página web, anuncian el fin de su carrera con una gira mundial de dos años en la que presentarán su último trabajo Sting in The Tail. De su último disco sabemos que saldrá a la venta el 19 de marzo y que ya hay dos temas rulando cuyos enlaces os dejo abajo. Scorpions aseguran que este será uno de sus mejores discos en estudio. También teníamos noticias de la gira de dos años, que por el momento sólo tiene fechas confirmadas en Alemania, Francia, Bélgica, República Checa, Suiza y Rusia. Lo que no nos podíamos imaginar es que este iba a ser el último disco y la última gira. Y me produce una gran tristeza porque entre los 100 mejores discos en directo que he escuchado en mi vida hay tres de estos alemanes: World Wide Live, sin duda el mejor; Tokyo Tapes enorme y el Acoustica. Así que me he quedado muy frío porque lejos de arrastrase por los escenarios tras más 40 años en la brecha, han sido unos más que dignos cabezas de cartel de cualquier concierto en el que han participado desde 1985.

Important Message to our Fans
It was always our pleasure, our purpose in life, our passion and we were fortunate enough to make music for you - whether it was live on stage or in the studio, creating new songs.

While we were working on our album these past few months, we could literally feel how powerful and creative our work was – and how much fun we were still having, in the process. But there was also something else: We want to end the Scorpion’s extraordinary career on a high note. We are extremely grateful for the fact that we still have the same passion for music we’ve always had since the beginning. This is why, especially now, we agree we have reached the end of the road. We finish our career with an album we consider to be one of the best we have ever recorded and with a tour that will start in our home country Germany and take us to five different continents over the next few years.

We want you, our fans, to be the first to know about this. Thank you for your never-ending support throughout the years!
